The Blichmann WineEasy Fermentor is truly a state-of-the-art piece of equipment that allows home winemakers to make wines of unparalleled quality! Blichmann has developed the WineEasy as a combined fermentor and press, which is unique and perhaps different than anything else on the market. The primary fermentor, available in 20, 30 and 55 gallons sizes, contains a false bottom that keeps the pomace separate from the must as the free runnings are drained from the fermentor. The grapes can then be pressed with a vacuum press and piston (vacuum press and piston sold separately). Using this method, there is no need to move the pomace to another vessel for pressing, and the must is pressed off the pomace in a sealed environment, minimizing oxidation and possibility of contamination. Pressing is also highly efficient, and cleanup is much easier than on traditional bladder or ratchet presses. It is also done in a manner that does not extract harsh tannins from cracked seeds or stems.

The design is such that the only one vacuum press kit is needed for doing pressing on any of the fermentors; the only thing that is needed is a different sized piston for the different sized fermentors. Vacuum Pump & Degassing Kit, Blichmann Engineering

The WineEasy Degassing Kit is a vacuum degassing kit from Blichmann Engineering. No more messing with cumbersome, inefficient stir-type degassers that leave CO2 in solution and cause a mess. With the WineEasy Degassing Kit, professionally degassing your wine is as easy as flipping a switch! A vacuum is placed on wine in a carboy through a special stopper, drawing all carbon dioxide out of solution, leaving your wines still and delicious! Degassing usually takes about 30 minutes, depending on the temperature of your wine. We recommend getting your wine up between 75-80 degrees for fastest results. This is the perfect degassing solution for all winemakers!

NOTE: This product can be used by anyone on any wine for degassing. For those with a WineEasy Fermentor and Piston, the Vacuum Press Kit for WineEasy is recommended for full use with the WineEasy system.

The Degassing Kit comes with the following components:

  • Vacuum pump
  • 5 ft piece of 1/4" OD hard plastic vacuum tube

This makes it easier to gravity drain free runnings into a secondary carboy if desired. Leg extensions are available for the 20 and 30 gallon WineEasy Fermentors. Not needed or available for the 55 gallon model, as it is too big to be supported by leg extensions.

Vacuum Press Kit for WineEasy Fermentors, Blichmann Engineering

The Vacuum Press Kit for Blichmann's WineEasy is the driving force behind the WineEasy system that allows vintners to easily press the remaining wine from the pomace with just the right pressure (14 psi). At this pressure, the maximum amount of wine is extracted without disturbing or crushing seeds and stems, leaving harsh tannins out of the wine! Only ONE vacuum press kit is needed, no matter how many WineEasy fermentors you have!

In addition, this vacuum press kit can be used for degassing your wine. Placing a vacuum on wine in the carboys will draw carbon dioxide out of solution, leaving still, professional grade wine for you and yours to enjoy! The included stainless steel racking cane can also be used with the system. Harnessing the power of Blichmann's vacuum pump, wine can be drawn from one vessel to another with the simple flick of a switch! No more lifting of heavy carboys, just let the vacuum pump do all the work for you. Required for the WineEasy, the Vacuum Press Kit will simplify every aspect of your winemaking process!
